About Us
Established in 1995 and based in Farnham, Surrey,
we are a dedicated group of professionals with extensive experience
in many different markets. Our reputation for attention to detail
and a highly personalised service has enabled us to get most of
our business from referrals and personal recommendations.
Our aim is to provide quality, memorable events for
our clients whether they be small businesses or large blue-chip
corporations worldwide.
The Team:
Lida DeSouza - lida.desouza@desouza-associates.com
Lida DeSouza worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 12 years before
setting up DeSouza Associates. She worked in sales, marketing and professional
relations. In the latter roles, over approximately 4 years, Lida was responsible
for organising a number of conferences and events both in the UK and worldwide
and, therefore, she also brings with her experience of the conference business
from a corporate perspective.
Catherine Harding - catherine.harding@desouza-associates.com
Catherine
has worked in the Conference and Events industry for approximately
12 years in a variety of different roles both in an agency capacity
as well as within hotels and conference centres. Her expertise
is within the conference and banqueting field, and over the years
she has built up an extensive knowledge of both UK & International
venues.
Kate McSweeny - kate.mcsweeny@desouza-associates.com
Kate has worked in the Conference and Events industry for approximately 20
years and therefore comes with much experience and first-hand knowledge of
venues worldwide. She has worked in an agency capacity as well as on the
opposite side of the fence for hotels and other venues and is therefore extremely
experienced and familiar with many venues, Conference and Banqueting Departments
specifically and negotiating good rates etc. Kate has built up and maintained
strong relationships with individual hotels and non-hotel venues as well
as hotel groups and DMCs.
Margaret Emmett - margaret.emmett@desouza-associates.com
Margaret works in our telemarketing department
and comes with extensive experience in similar positions, working
closely with
numerous large corporate blue chip companies in the IT and communications
industries. Having also worked in a promotional gifts company she
brings knowledge of our industry from a different perspective.

Amy has worked in marketing for many years, prior to joining DeSouza Associates. Dealing & liaising with businesses is familiar to Amy & maintaining customer satisfaction & building business relationships is a priority. Amy brings a valuable and different approach in this area and that of business development to DeSouza Associates.

Sarah has worked in the Conference and Events industry for approximately 15 years in a variety of different roles both in an agency capacity as well as within hotels. Her expertise is within the accommodation, conference and banqueting field and over the years she has built up an extensive knowledge of both UK & international venues.
