Lida DeSouza worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 12 years before setting up DeSouza Associates. She worked in sales, marketing and professional relations.

Through her experience in the industry she has considerable knowledge of a wide range of disease areas, particularly in hospital medicine e.g. anaesthesia, surgery, microbiology and virology, cancer care and intensive care medicine.

Presently we are the Secretariat to Specialist Groups which involves:

• Organisation of a national meeting to aid the education and training of the 170 members of the SpRs in Microbiology and Virology Club
  
• Face-to-face forums and teleconferences for the Neuraminidase Inhibitors Susceptibility Network
• Production of an Executive Summary
• Providing a fresh approach to the organisation
