This hotel in Venice was once a historical palace “Palazzo Genovese” and is located in one of the two cloisters of the San Gregorio convent, which was founded in the second half of the twelfth century.
Bought by Sina Hotels it is now transformed into a luxurious 5-star hotel housing contemporary art in contrast to its Gothic style facade.
During the renovation works an ancient coin was found with the image of Antinoo, friend of Emperor Adriano, showing the close connection between Venice and ancient Rome.
The hotel has 50 rooms including suites and a presidential suite. Each one is individually styled with a touch of Venetian flair making this a very unique 5 star Hotel in Venice.
There are 4 meeting rooms;
- The Canal Grande Room is a beautiful room on the 1st floor with one glass wall overlooking the Grand Canal. This room has a great 6m ceiling height and is can take up to 50 delegates theatre style
- The Red Room can take up to 15 boardroom style
- The White Room can take up to 60 people for a drinks reception
- Antinoo’s Lounge & Restaurant has direct access from the Canal and is well known for its cuisine – this room can take up to 65 for a dinner
The private garden is a lovely place to enjoy a drink and is used for conferences in the Summer months.
