To kick off the New Year, we had our first team meeting of 2022, face-to-face, at the Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel! It was a fabulous opportunity to combine our team meeting along with viewing and experiencing the newly opened hotel.
John Swift, the Sales Manager from the Hotel, and Victoria Poole our Arora representative kindly met us at the hotel and gave us a full guided tour before we settled down to our afternoon meeting.
The hotel is located on the edge of Windsor Great Park and is set in 40 acres of landscaped grounds. A modern build, the hotel has been designed sympathetically to reflect the site’s heritage. Parts of the original building have been cleverly integrated, restored and replicated within the new hotel surroundings.
The hotel offers over 200 bedrooms and suites, many of which have stunning views over the gardens and grounds. All the bedrooms are light, and are furnished tastefully in muted soft colours and tones.
There are 15 individually designed meeting and event spaces set over 3 floors. The second largest suite, the Monarch Suite, is flooded with natural daylight and offers direct access to the gardens with its own private terrace.
The largest meeting space is the Arora Ballroom which can accommodate up to 375 guests cabaret style or 600 for a banquet. It is pillar-free, with a ceiling height of over 7m high and there is direct car/van access, via a large lift, for AV and production suppliers to use.
We had our meeting in the Primrose Suite which is located on the lower ground floor and can seat up to 20 people comfortably boardroom style. There are 11 of these smaller meeting rooms, all named after a variety of flowers, and adorned with artwork to reflect this.
There are a variety of dining options from the MOREISH Restaurant serving breakfast and lunch buffets for conference guests and open to residents for dinner; to Greens Café located within the hotel’s Spa and Wellness facilities.
There is also a fine dining restaurant 1215 which overlooks their private terrace and manicured gardens seating a maximum of 45 guests. The Restaurant uses quality British produce using locally grown products working with The Royal Farms, Windsor artisans and their very own herb and vegetable gardens.
The Orchid Tea Room is a calm and luxurious space where Afternoon tea is served to guests. The original owners collected orchids, hence the name!
The Fairmont Windsor Park has a main residents bar, 1215, which has an art deco feel to it along with the fine dining restaurant 1215. Both are named in recognition to the signing of the Magna Carta in the year 1215.
The Library Bar is quite masculine in décor and style, with a gentleman’s club feel to it. This is open to residents in the evenings but can lend itself well for private use during the daytime for events.
The extensive grounds will work well for all types of team building activities including motorised. Watch this space for further developments, as they are currently building a new equestrian centre and a number of treehouses on site for accommodation.
With a luxury spa and wellness centre on site, spanning across 2500sqm, there is lots of choice for guests to relax and join in with activity classes. They have a large gym, pool areas both indoor and out, 18 treatment rooms including some very unique therapies – a Cryotherapy Chamber where you get frozen and the facility to 4D scan your body!
A private spa suite will also be available for guests staying in the Signature Royal Suite, with private access from your own lift.
Our View
A 5 star, elegant hotel in a great location, with excellent transport links and everything all under one roof to accommodate all types of events, the Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel is definitely a venue to consider for your next off site.
