The Old Government House Hotel & Spa is a 5 min walk to the quayside. It’s 63 bedrooms and suites are individually designed but all in keeping with the historic nature of the building.

There are 4 eating and drinking spots in this hotel;

The Brasserie Restaurant is in the conservatory and overlooks the private gardens and harbour

The Curry Room offers Indian cuisine and can be booked for private dinners

The Olive Grove offers al fresco dining, it is the only restaurant in the centre of the town with a garden but when the weather is feeling less ‘Mediterranean’ the Crown Club and Centenary Bar is a plush and cosy alternative.

The hotel has 5 meeting rooms in total; 2 of which are large function spaces and 3 are small meeting/private dining rooms. The Regency is the largest room with a max capacity of 250 for a reception; the gold walls and hanging chandeliers give a touch of elegance.

There is a spa on site with a gym, whirlpools, sauna, steam room, outdoor pool and treatment rooms for that well deserved bit of ‘me-time.’

The Duke of Richmond is the second property  which offers views across the town and out to sea. There are 73 bedrooms in this property which follow a beige and red scheme; regal colours one might say.

The Leopard bar and restaurant is much like their equivalent in their London Hotels, there are flares of animal print and South African features, while the Terrace is more traditionally decorated. This room overlooking the gardens, sea and islands beyond it is the perfect spot Breakfast, al fresco Lunch or Dinner under the stars.

The Residents Lounge mixes contemporary with traditional, you can enjoy a drink or afternoon tea here in front of the fire surrounded by a black and white colour theme and zebra prints.

There are 4 meeting rooms in total, 3 are suitable for large meetings, product launches, receptions etc while 1 is a lot smaller in size so is ideal as a boardroom, breakout space or private dining room.

Flights to Guernsey from London Gatwick take only 45 minutes, with those from regional airports taking upwards of 30 minutes. Regular flights operate from major UK airports all year round, as well as some seasonal services from destinations further afield.

Ferries to Guernsey from the UK cross from Poole, taking around three hours. A traditional ferry operates in all weathers, all-year-round, from Portsmouth.  Travelling to and from St Malo, France by ferry takes a little over two hours. There are also seasonal ferries to and from Dielette, Granville and Barneville-Carteret on the Normandy coast of France.
