Handpicked Hotels are a collection of 20 country house heritage properties located throughout the UK and the Channel Islands. The group is privately owned and prides itself on offering a quality four star product.
Many of the hotels are former private residences and have a Grade I, Grade II or Grade II* listing. These country houses, once local economic, political and social powerhouses, built for pleasure, now offer the opportunity for guests to experience the grandeur of a country house.
Each property has been sympathetically restored to ensure their architectural splendour and authenticity has been maintained whilst updating the facilities to ensure modern and stylish interiors. L’Horizon, Grand Jersey and St Pierre Park are more modern buildings.
Most hotels are set in over 20 acres of grounds. Highlights include Buxted Park in East Sussex set in 312 acres of parkland, Norton House on the fringe of Edinburgh in 55 acres and L’Horizon located on the picturesque sandy beach of St. Brelade’s Bay in Jersey.
Ten of the Hotels have spas and health clubs. The spas offer a variety of treatments and make the perfect venue for a pamper weekend or day spa visit.
Fifteen of the hotel fine dining restaurants hold a minimum of 2 AA Rosettes, with Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa holding 3. Dining is described as modern British, with local produce and dishes typical to the area.
Each Handpicked property offers a selection of conference rooms, providing a choice of room types and characteristics suitable for meetings, events, training, conferences or special occasions. All hotels offer free WiFi.
