Recently Priya Thiara invited us to The Renaissance, London Heathrow; a contemporary and recently refurbished four-star hotel. The venue is in a unique location situated on the perimeter of Heathrow Airport, front facing meeting rooms and bedrooms have a clear view over the main runway ! Soundproofing keeps the buzz of the landing planes at bay and aids for a quiet meeting and peaceful night’s sleep.
You really couldn’t get much closer to transport links; if travelling by air the hotel then the transfer from the Airport is easy Heathrow Hotel Hoppa from Terminal 2 or 3. If travelling by Train the Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect Rail are available from Heathrow Central into central London.
With a total of 18,665 square foot of event space, the Renaissance conference facilities comprise of 16 meeting rooms, the largest being a Ballroom which can take up to 450 delegates. If you require an exclusive area for private conferences the Hotel offers a great self-contained training suite with 2 Boardrooms and 3 larger Meeting Rooms complete with private Lobby area for refreshments. All meeting rooms feature high-speed Internet access, as well as audio-visual facilities.
There are 710 bedrooms and all double rooms have a Queen Size Bed for added space and comfort. For organisers or VIP’s there are 8 Executive Suites which have a separate living room area and large bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower, guests also have access to the executive lounge.
We had a delicious dinner in the Market Garden Restaurant which offers both buffet and A la Carte options. There is also Bar Eleven; a funky London themed bar offering drinks and all-day menu’s – it has multi coloured lights on the ceiling almost identical to the tube lines in London.
The Hotel also has a Health Club with a Gym, Sauna, Steam Room and Treatment Rooms for ‘me time.’
