hen someone says the words ‘hotel meeting room’ to you, your first thoughts may be of a clinical, functional space, identical to every other meeting room you have seen before but that is no longer the image that Conference Hotels go for.

With so much competition in the big smoke, Hotels are diversifying their conference spaces and thinking outside the box to keep with modern day trends and to attract delegates. You may think that you have to go to unusual meeting venues to get a quirky event space but this is not the case.

Here are just a few unique hotel meeting rooms in London:

Hilton London Bankside has recently launched the ‘Agora Room,’ a creative meeting room offering an innovative environment to hold boardroom style meetings. It has flexible walls which can be used as a whiteboard or pin-board so you can scatter ideas around the room.

There are many unique elements to the space which include a controllable skylight and mood lighting to set the tone for the task at hand, a creativity tea station with a specially curated menu to boost brain power and a ‘Push for Creativity’ button which provides the room with aromatic cool air.

Along with the latest technology, this room is the ideal space for getting groups of up to 14 together to generate ideas.

The Hoxton Hotels have a unique concept in their two London Venues- Shoreditch and Holborn.

They offer Apartment style event spaces that are all about welcoming guests and making them feel at home!

The Pantry Kitchen is stocked full of free drinks and goodies that delegates can help themselves to throughout the day.

The Apartments are made up of individually designed and themed rooms to choose from such as a Living Room, Dining Room, Library and even a Play Room, but the whole space can also be hired exclusively for a corporate event with a capacity of up to 250 guests standing.

Pullman St Pancras has a contemporary self-contained boardroom on their 15th floor called the ‘Business Playground.’

This space goes against the conventional Meeting Room with panoramic views of London and innovative ideas such as a Poker Table for 12 people, a digital canopy to take breaks under listening to the bird song and curiosity boxes with items that keep your brain active and inspired.

The Business Playground Master hosts a unique experience with an inspiring culinary proposition, classes and games to offer allowing each delegate to have a personalised experience.

The moral of the story is, don’t rule out a hotel meeting room, they can be more quirky than you think!
