Lainston House is the current Venue of the Season feature on our website, a 17th century country house Hotel situated in Winchester. Located 55 minutes by train from central London and a 25 minute drive from Southampton Airport, the hotel is ideal for those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the City.
As we will be shortly be introducing a new venue I wanted to highlight some key facts about the Hotel and its great offering to the corporate market for meetings and events:
Lainston House has 8 meeting rooms which includes Dawley Barn – all the rooms have natural daylight and complimentary wifi is offered throughout the Hotel
The Hotel can be booked for exclusive use – ideal for numbers between 35 and 50 taking the entire estate to guarantee privacy and dedicated service.
Seasons cookery school is located within the grounds of Lainston House in the renovated 17th century well house. The Cookery School can be booked exclusively for your event. Courses can be a full day or half day and team building interactive dinners can be organised where guests make their own dinner to enjoy afterwards.
There are many different types of courses you can choose from – a team building short course is 4 hours which can work well with a meeting. Courses range from Bread making, Sushi making, pasta making and classic cake making – there is a Mary Berry in us all !
At the conclusion of the event, delegates can enjoy a guided tour of the Victorian kitchen garden or Pick-your-own Pimm’s in the kitchen garden or perhaps a Falconry display – the choice is yours !

- The Hotel has 50 bedrooms which are all individually designed so no two rooms are the same !
- All bedrooms offer hand sewn mattresses and a choice of 6 different pillows to ensure a good nights sleep
- The Hotel has 7 bee hives producing the Hotels own honey which is served at Breakfast.
- George Bush Senior once famously commented that the Lainston Martini was, “the best martini he’s ever had”.
