Catherine recently had the opportunity to attend a Family Event at Longleat to launch their new on site event facility – The Longhouse. This is her blog:
Our day at Longleat started with breakfast on arrival. There was entertainment for the kids including balloon modelling and face painting whilst the adults watched a presentation showcasing their venue spaces and activities on site. We then had to choose between an exclusive VIP Safari Bus Tour OR Jungle Boat Cruise finishing with a BBQ style lunch.
The rest of the day was then ours to enjoy the rest of what Longleat can offer.
The Estate is situated in the Wiltshire countryside just under a 2 hour car journey from central London. There is plenty of free car parking and local train stations are approximately 5-10 miles away, serviced well by local taxis.
Within the Longleat Estate, there is a diverse range of unique event venues each with their own style which are easily tailored to suit any corporate requirements.
The Longhouse is available throughout the year for fun days, dinners, conferences, product launches and much more! It’s the only venue in the area that can accommodate a car! Capacities range from 100 – 500 guests and is self-contained with it’s own kitchen, cloakrooms and outdoor landscaped area.
In addition to this there are the historic rooms within Longleat House if you are looking for something more traditional; along with hundreds of acres of grounds available to host a variety of events.
The venue lends itself well for team building events. They work closely with an events company to incorporate activities enabling guests to interact with the animals in the Safari Park and on the Estate. A safari VIP Experience is also a great way to get up close & personal with Longleat’s animal residents. For something a little less active, they can also offer House & Garden tours.
Longleat also has a collection of local hotels so there is no problem to accommodate an event where overnight stays are required.
It was a great family day out and extremely enjoyable to experience first-hand what Longleat can offer for corporate guests.
