There are some amazing new venue openings set to open in UK this year and we are all excited after the events of the past year that we can move from virtual events to booking venues again for events.
Here are just some of the new venue openings due to open in 2021
Fairmont Windsor Park
For those that knew this venue previously as Savill Court (or even the Anugraha, I’m that old!) this long awaited opening is planned for later this year.
Set on the edge of Windsor Great Park, but within easy reach of Heathrow Airport and Central London, the hotel is set in 40 acres of open green space and has been designed to reflect the site’s heritage whilst offering a modern design.
There will be 200 guestrooms and lavish suites, a wellness spa with indoor pool, outdoor vitality pool and plenty of outdoor space for team building or drinks reception.
The 15 conference rooms are located in one wing of the hotel which includes the 800sqm pillar-free ballroom catering for events up to 700 guests.
Royal College of Surgeons
It has just been announced that Searcys have been appointed the new catering partner for this prestigious London venue from May.
The RCS has been a presence in Lincoln’s Inn Fields at number 41 since 1797, expanding over the following century to 38 – 43 Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The main Barry building is named after architect, Sir Charles Barry, who would go on to design the Houses of Parliament. It was almost completely rebuilt in the 1950s and 60s, following extensive bomb damage in World War II.
The Royal College of Surgeons of England offers its event spaces to external clients, alongside their internal clients and are planning to open ‘The View’ in the Summer. It is set to be the first events venue to launch in London this year.
The View offers panoramic 6th floor views of the London landscape and the flexible space will be perfect for a variety of events from 10 to 300 people.
Searcys hope to kick off with events across the building with private dining and meetings followed by seasonal parties and celebration events later in the year.
Malmaison York
Due to open on 17 May, this Hotel will have 150 bedrooms and a capacity of 150 for events. This Hotel will be introducing their new concept called SORA, a Pan-Asian rooftop bar and terrace, which will be serving small plates and Asian inspired cocktails. This area will take up to 200 and there will be a dedicated lift for clients that wish to visit independently from the hotel.
NoMad London
NoMad London occupies the historic, grade II-listed building formerly The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station and is due to open at the end of May. Located in Covent Garden, it will be the first NoMad to open outside of the States.
The NoMad London offers over 800 sqm adaptable space for events, meetings and private dining and 91 bedrooms.
The building’s original Magistrates’ Courtroom, now the Magistrates’ Ballroom, accommodates up to 75 guests for a seated event.
With its two adjacent private dining rooms (the Fielding and De Veil), a separate bar, and a dedicated entrance from the street — using the original courtroom’s entrance — the Magistrates’ Court is perfect for seated dinners, cocktail receptions, and functions both social and corporate.
