Laura recently attended her first international FAM trip to the wonderful city of Paris courtesy of Hilton. Here is her blog (part 1)
I met with Hilton rep Rachel and other agencies at St Pancras station on Friday morning, all buzzing to jump on the Eurostar; who kindly sponsored our travel to Paris. We were treated to First Class seats and we thoroughly enjoyed the on-board food and drinks !
Our first stop – Hilton Paris Opera, on arrival we headed to our rooms to get ready. There are 268 bedrooms in the hotel. Our group were lucky enough to stay in Executive rooms which are extra spacious and have the luxury of a Nespresso machine, bathrobes, minibar and access to the Exec Lounge.
We had a tour of the hotel, starting at Le Grand Salon, a stunning bar area in the centre of the property. We visited the 8 contemporary meeting rooms; the Baccarat Ballroom is the largest space, it can accommodate up to 180 guests.
We then headed to LPB ‘Speakeasy’ Bar where we enjoyed a cocktail making class and canape dinner.
The next morning after breakfast, we had a private tour of designer department store ‘Le Printemps’. We were lucky enough to visit the personal shopping areas, learn about the luxury services and visit the café on the top floor which has a terrace with panoramic views over Paris.
Following this, next stop Hilton La Defense which is right next to the grand arch itself. We enjoyed a 3-course lunch before exploring the hotel. This property has 153 bedrooms some of which overlook the shopping mall and conference centre joint to the hotel.
Whilst the Bar and Restaurant is on the 1st floor, the meeting facilities are in a space of their own on 5th floor. All the rooms are bright and naturally heated thanks to the glass walls. There are also terraces and breakout areas on this floor.
