At DeSouza Associates we pride ourselves on our added value services! For example, we often join our clients on site inspections and from our many years of experience in hospitality and organising events, we know we add value to the venue visits.
We would always recommend site inspections to clients, particularly for the more prestigious and key corporate events and of course the larger ones too. We are often able to make alternative suggestions for using the space in a different way or recommending that the venue shows our clients alternative areas etc. On a recent site visit, we actually took our client to view another venue, even though the function room in question was not free on that day. This venue had been put forward as an option, however the client had dismissed it based on price but when she viewed it she loved it and decided to confirm.
Our experience helps us to think on our feet and outside the box, not only with regard to the meeting and function spaces offered by venues, but also in terms of the catering offering. Our excellent relationships with hotels and venue staff helps us to go that extra mile, even in situations when the hotels may not have thought to do so! Recently, when doing some site inspections with clients who had travelled over from Paris for the day, we asked a venue to provide a light take-away sandwich lunch for them, as the clients were running late for the next site inspection. This enabled them to have something to eat whilst they were being driven to their next viewing, not having stopped all morning for even a cup of coffee or a croissant!
