A former Benedictine nun’s monastery dating back to the early 1800’s. Stanbrook Abbey is not just any other hotel for any other meeting, it offers some great history to add something different to a corporate event. The dramatic stone cloisters, wooden beams and gothic stained-glass windows are all on show for delegates to experience a unique taster of what life was like in Pugin Abbey.
The extensive refurbishments finished in 2015, and transformed 51 former nun’s bedrooms into luxury guest suites, added the new George’s Bar, extended the grand Thompson Dining Hall and revamped the 5 bedroom Manor House. The Hotel can offer 51 bedrooms in the main Hotel with a further 4 located in the Manor House within the grounds.
There are 14 conference rooms – the Callow Great Hall is the pride of Stanbrook Abbey with its stunning vaulted ceiling and carefully designed stained glass windows. This former chapel can accommodate up to 190 delegates theatre style.
The largest conference room at Stanbrook Abbey, the Thompson Dining Hall is perfect for banquets, formal dinners, dances and corporate events. The scale and grandeur of this magnificent room immediately impresses all who enter it. With its raised stage and a mounted lectern it is great for those larger conferences accommodating up to 260 delegates theatre style.
Fancy offering something different ? Stanbrook Abbey has its own purpose Segway trail to capture the best views and explore the historic charm during a break in the conference.
