We recently visited the Sunborn London, a Yacht Hotel moored in the Royal Victoria Docks, located next to Excel London. It was a very hot day/evening in London so this was the perfect venue to visit to enjoy being outside and by the Thames!
Sunborn London has 131 hotel rooms plus 4 luxury suites, the rooms are light and spacious, a real difference from the confined spaces you can find in London Hotels. Each room has a River or Dock view and the Executive rooms lead on to a private terrace or balcony.
The pop-up champagne deck, which is in partnership with Laurent Perrier, was launched this year in celebration of Sunborn London’s 4th anniversary. Open until 3rd September and guests can enjoy a champagne cocktail and bespoke canapes on this rooftop bar overlooking the Emirate Skyline, Canary Wharf and the O2.
The Sundown Bar on the lower deck offers signature dishes and some of London’s finest drinks along with equally impressive views. We enjoyed delicious food platters on this deck while we watched the planes pass by from London City Airport and the sun set over the City skyline.
Whether you’re looking for a private dining space for a small group, a location for a business meeting or a venue for a banquet of 200 guests, the Sunborn London can meet your needs. There is also an auditorium that can seat 45 people. Each space has been designed with sophisticated interiors which draw upon classic sailing glamour.
For an extra special treat on-board, there are two treatment rooms in which guests can enjoy luxury skin therapy.
With more than 30 years’ experience in the hotel, leisure and hospitality sector, Sunborn has developed luxury spa hotels and restaurants in Scandinavia, Germany, Spain and the UK.
Sunborn Gibraltar was the first of their fleet of floating hotels followed by London. It is in fact the only company in the world to construct a fleet of fully-functioning, first class yacht hotels and their aim is to grow over the coming years.
If you are looking for a venue to impress your guests for your next corporate event then why not consider Sunborn London?
