Why Choose DeSouza Associates?
With over 25 years of experience helping clients book a variety of events such as Conferences, Exec Meetings, Seminars, Gala Dinners, Receptions, Private Dining, Training Courses, Team Building, Residential Conferences and Accommodation, our venue finding team is highly qualified to help you find the perfect venue for your corporate training event. We understand that every company has its own unique needs and with our knowledge, advice and support, we will help you find the best venue that meets your specific requirements.
We have a vast knowledge of the different types of training venues available, so we can find you the right venue to suit your needs and objectives, whether it is a dedicated training or conference centre or other type of venue.
All we need from you is a detailed brief outlining your requirements and we will do the rest! We will then contact suitable venues matching the details you supply to us and create a bespoke proposal outlining all the information you require. From this proposal you will also be able to easily compare each venue option to enable you to make an informed decision on your final venue choice. We will negotiate the best rates and can arrange site inspections if you wish (or this can of course be done virtually); we will be with you every step of the way. We will take you right up to contract stage and from there you can liaise directly with the venue to discuss all the final details.
Some tips from us….
Often, a trainer may choose a venue because it appears cheap in comparison to others, only to realise once it’s too late that a lot of the facilities and services they need are charged as ‘extras’. This can quickly increase the costs. We will provide you with a proposal that will clearly outline what is included in the rate quoted to you.
Remember location can also affect the price, so it can be worth widening your search area. Being more flexible on your chosen location can be more cost effective.
We recommend that you have a firm and realistic budget in mind when you get in touch with us. Remember the choice of venue you book will reflect in the delegates’ perception of your training event and company, so it is important to get it right!
Why Book an External Training Venue?
Training venues are situated in great locations with easy access to all transport networks. Whether travelling by car, train or even by air, they can be easily reached and make them a good option, guaranteeing a positive uptake for any event.
Dedicated training centres are exclusively designed to offer training spaces to cater for all corporate and business needs without any external distractions away from the workplace.
Predominantly, training venues are a dedicated space for corporate companies to create a focused working and training environment. These spaces can also be used for all types of events including workshops, board meetings, panel meetings, examinations, interviews and much more.
Training Room Layouts
The room layout is important to achieve any event objective so training rooms have the flexibility to be anything from a basic boardroom set up to a more informal pod seating or lounge layout.
Experienced technicians and other staff members are available on site to assist trainers with any specific requirements/technical issues leading up to and on the event day itself including pre-loading software onto their dedicated PCs. This will mean that the delegates have a smooth training experienc
A tip from us….
If your course requires lots of interaction with delegates then a cabaret style set-up is best. This allows delegates to be seated around groups of tables.
If you need your delegates to concentrate and take notes or work on laptops, then a classroom style (rows of tables with chairs) would be best.
Alternatively, if the trainer is looking to interact with the delegates and the group is not too large then a U-Shape set up would be ideal.
Some trainers prefer no tables at all, so very informal with just the delegates seating in rows of chairs – perhaps in a semi circle.
