Faced with these uncertain times, we’re all having to adapt to new ways of working and communicating with both work colleagues and customers. It’s important to adjust our work practices to keep both teams and clients feeling valued. You may be feeling a bit ‘zoomed’ out this year but these virtual event ideas are fun and encourage interaction creating an upbeat experience.
Virtual team building activities can be a great way to interact, learn, have fun and enjoy feeling part of a team again. They are perfect for both corporate team building and client entertainment, bringing people together from all over the UK (and beyond!) whilst in the comfort of their own homes.
With a Virtual Group Cookery Experience, a box of ingredients will be hand delivered to each person, including everything they will need to complete the recipe of their chosen challenge
Why not consider these virtual cookery event ideas?
Maestro Chef Challenge
In this activity, guests will work in groups virtually and have to guess the ingredients, work out the order of the recipes, cook and present the best dish for judging. The winning group wins a prize.
A Cuisine Based Class (online!)
Participants will be taught a starter, main & dessert which they will cook along with a chef and host online. Guests will also get to dine in their groups (virtually of course!) afterwards and there is an option of a food quiz while the guests are dining.
There are a selection of cuisines to choose from which include: Thai, Indian, Japanese, Mexican or Italian Pizzas.
The packages include the following:
- First things first: A box of ingredients will be sent to guests anywhere in the UK!
- 1.5 hours cookery session over zoom plus 30 minutes eating & socialising time afterwards (the social time can be extended to cater for specific timings)
- All guests will get to make their own starters, main and dessert (with the exception of the Maestro Chef Challenge where you only make a main & dessert)
- A free cocktail masterclass
- An ice breaker exercise at the beginning
To make the event extra special, you can include a bottle of 750ml wine to either package.
Office Christmas Parties
The office Christmas party won’t be the same this year, but we shouldn’t have to miss out on having some fun so why not have a themed cookery Christmas party!
Combine a get together with your work colleagues whilst creating memories and gaining a new skill (or enhancing an old one!)
Bake Off Competition
A cookery event with a more competitive element might be more desirable to get your team competing against each other individually and they can even get their families involved too!!
How about a Virtual Bake Off to lift the spirits of your work colleagues with suggested bakes such as mince pies or gingerbread houses. Added extras can be included such as chef hats and aprons to enhance the experience.
Chocolate Making Lesson
If you have a sweet tooth why not host a chocolate making event, also great to get into the Festive mood. Ingredients can be either be sent or a recipe list given to each attendee beforehand. A Master Chocolatier will teach all guests the history of the cocoa bean and the group will then watch a chocolate making demonstration before getting hands on themselves.
DeSouza Associates work closely with a number of suppliers that offer these unique and fun experiences, plus many more if you don’t fancy cooking up a storm! All of the packages are bespoke and prices vary according to attendee numbers and the specifics of each event.
