Team Meeting: London Park Plaza Hotels

At the beginning of March, we headed to London for an offsite team meeting at the Park Plaza London Riverbank Hotel. It was a great opportunity to step away from the office and spend a focused day discussing future business, while also visiting several venues to experience their facilities first-hand.

Located on London’s South Bank, close to Vauxhall and Westminster, the hotel is ideally positioned for both business travellers and tourists. Vauxhall Station is just a short walk away, with Waterloo easily accessible, making travel across London simple and convenient.

The hotel has more than 645 stylish bedrooms, including contemporary rooms, studios and suites. It also offers 24 flexible meeting rooms and three large conference spaces, with the main Ballroom accommodating up to 660 guests for a reception. The Plaza Suites are particularly versatile, hosting up to 360 guests in a cabaret layout and easily dividing into smaller breakout rooms, exhibition areas and catering spaces – ideal for conferences and corporate events.

Our base for the day was the River View Lounge Boardroom which boasts impressive views across the River Thames and the London skyline. In the evenings, the River View Lounge can also be hired exclusively for drinks receptions of up to 150 guests.

The hotel’s main restaurant, Chino Latino & Bar, serves Pan-Asian cuisine and cocktails with 180 degree panoramic views of the River Thames.

Later in the day we travelled along the river to view both the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and Park Plaza County Hall. Both hotels are conveniently located near Waterloo Station, providing easy access to the West End and offering flexible event spaces suitable for both large-scale conferences and smaller corporate meetings.

Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London is a large, conference hotel featuring 1023 guest rooms, suites and penthouses. Guests can choose from four unique dining options, ranging from a relaxed brasserie to a Sushi Bar. Private dining options are also available. There are 32 conference, event and meeting rooms, including the Westminster Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,500 delegates theatre style. The Mandara Spa and leisure facilities offer guests a space to unwind after a busy day.

Meanwhile, Park Plaza County Hall London offers 8 meeting rooms for up to 100 delegates, making it ideal for smaller meetings, workshops and training. The Terrace Suite is perfect for intimate dinners or drinks receptions, complete with a private outside terrace overlooking the London Eye. The hotel has 399 guest rooms, alongside a restaurant and bar.
